I was getting to know a new (to me) Bach piece on piano one day, when I realized that the right and left hand would translate very easily into into two voices that I knew very well - guitar and bass.
My left hand was John McArdle on bass, who sat with me  to make the amazingly few changes in the music that we had to make  in order to tailor it to our two respective instruments.
We made this recording early in the polishing period of the piece, and I did get lost or have inappropriate page changes a time or two. Rescued from a disintegrating tape, it was recorded in the living room of our relatively sunny pre-earhquake Victorian in San Francisco's Noe Valley. This is the only recording of the arrangement, and it was presented in public exclusively to help celebrate my older brother's nuptuals oh-some-twenty-eight-years-ago.
